Cisco Wireless Training

Cisco's Wireless Portfolio Has Changed.

What's New?

Cisco recently invested a large amount in updating the entire wireless certification track. All courses and exams from CCNA, CCNP and even the CCIE were significantly updated. It had been close to 5 years since the last major revision. As part of this update most of the courses were re-formatted significantly from the last version. Our engineers were heavily involved throughout this process and can confirm that the new courses are far better aligned with the technologies, solutions and approaches used by customers today.

We look forward to joining you on your journey to become an Expert!

CCNA WIRELESS

The Cisco CCNA Wireless is by far the most popular certification and where most engineers begin their path to becoming an Expert. Choosing NC-Expert ensures you get the best possible start to building a foundation that will ensure you master the technologies you will need to progress towards your ultimate goal of becoming an Expert.

(WiFund) Implementing Cisco Wireless Network Fundementals

The WiFund course is the single course you will need to take to achieve your CCNA Wireless Certification. This is a 5-day course that will prepare you for the base line requirements involved in managing a Corporate Wireless Infrastructure. You will learn foundational concepts for deploying a Cisco Wireless environment such as:

  • Understand basic RF principles and characteristics
  • Describe WLAN security methods and access with different client devices
  • Define the Cisco WLAN architecture and underlying infrastructure used to support it
  • Implement a central wireless access network using AireOS or IOS-XE wireless LAN controllers
  • Deploy a converged wireless access network using IOS-XE converged access switches and wireless LAN controllers
  • Implement small and remote access wireless networks using FlexConnect, Autonomous or Cloud (Meraki) architectures
  • Perform basic WLAN maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Describe requirements for WLAN design

The prerequisites for the certification are:

  • Valid CCENT, CCNA R&S or CCIE certification
  • Pass Exam 200-355 WIFUND

CCNP WIRELESS

The Cisco CCNP Wireless Certification is a well-known advanced credential. Cisco invested a considerable amount of time and money re-working the courses used in this certification. For those individuals that have taken a CCNP Wireless course in the past 5 years you will see a 90% difference in the topics, design and deployment approaches, products, features and standards being covered in this new version.

NC-Expert engineers were heavily involved in advising on the content, labs and overall recommended level of knowledge being included. We can strongly endorse these courses as having the needed content to prepare engineers for the advanced skill levels required in corporations today. When taught by NC-Expert instructors who have a full mastery of the topics being presented an engineer can feel confident they will leave the courses and certification with a highly valued set of skills needed by the market today.

All NC-Expert instructors teaching these courses have proven Expert level knowledge and experience in the real-world through live design, deployment and troubleshooting of customer networks.

To reach CCNP Wireless Certification you must first have the CCNA Wireless certification and then successfully pass the four exams associated with the CCNP Level Courses.

Obtaining the CCNP certification should not take 2-3 years for most engineers, nor should it cost over $16,000. This is the scenario you will find when comparing our competitor's programs, due to the high prices charged for the courses and the limits of corporate training budgets. We have developed the industry's most up-to-date 2-week accelerated Bootcamp course for those that desire to get their certification in a matter of weeks and months and want to fit it within their budget.

The prerequisites for the CCNP certification are:

  • Valid CCENT, CCNA Wireless or CCIE certification
  • Pass Exam 300-360 WIDESIGN
  • Pass Exam 300-365 WIDEPLOY
  • Pass Exam 300-375 WISECURE
  • Pass Exam 300-370 WITSHOOT

Bundles

We offer several options to help our customers get a higher Return on Investment in their training. A fundamental part of this is pricing and scheduling. We realize most engineers get 1 week a year and typically have less than $5,000.00 allotted to their training budget. Vendors stack the certifications to give more choices and provide groupings of topics. We look for areas where we can streamline the delivery and combine certain courses to give customers the best bang for the buck.

CWNP Course Bundles we offer these in a 6-day session (M-S): (CWNA is required as a prerequisite for any of the Professional or Expert certifications)

  • CWTS + CWNA
  • CWNA + CWDP
  • CWNA + CWAP
  • CWSP + CWAP
  • CWSP + CWDP

CWNA + CCNA Wireless:We offer the only Boot Camp/Bundle for CWNA and CCNA Wireless in a 9-day session. This gives the entry level engineer the benefit of the two strongest wireless certifications in a single training purchase.

CCNP Wireless Boot Camp:We offer a 12-day CCNP Wireless Bootcamp that leverages our two exclusive courses (DDACW + OSACW) which cover the entire CCNP Wireless curriculum as well as added product and feature updates and advanced troubleshooting.

NC-Expert Self Study Program

These webinars are NOT structured to be copies of the vendor programs, they are instead our Experts discussing the topics.

The webinars cover a topic and progress you from understanding what the technology is, how and why it was intended to be used, common deployments and then we take you to the expert level covering the lesser known configurations that are often expected of CCIE engineers.

The webinars are offered "after work hours" and on Saturdays to enable you to get your training on your own time

We currently offer revolving schedules for the US and European timezones, ASIA coming soon. If you can't attend one then catch it the next time around! We run two series in each timezone, one that covers the full package the second jumps straight to topics that require more experience. All topics are relative to a CCIE candidate. We spend the right amount of time on all areas making sure you have a good grasp of the topic wether your starting from scratch or filling in gaps for your CCIE studies.

The Self Study Series was not designed to be a short cut to certification however, most of the certifications in the market all test the same 80% of topics. Taking and mastering the subjects in these webinars will certainly prepare you for the knowledge the certifications are meant to validate however, you will still need fill in the gaps to cover the vendor specific "exam gotchas" they include specific to their certification. The series covers the majority of the core topics included in the following certifications:

  • Comptia Mobility +
  • Cisco CCNA Wireless (WiFund)
