Class Overview
Cisco’s Engineering Cisco Meraki Solutions, Part 1
, or ECMS1, is a 1-day introductory course that equips you with the technical knowledge and skills to confidently operate Cisco Meraki solutions as a unified management system of an entire network from a centralized dashboard.
Through a full day of instruction including live demos and guided lab practice, you will learn how to implement core configurations for a full stack solution in the Meraki Dashboard and leverage essential Meraki Dashboard tools to enforce device security policies, deploy software and apps, and perform remote, live troubleshooting on managed devices.
This is the first of two training classes that prepare you for the Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist certification exam.

After taking this training, the student should be able to:

- Describe Single Pane of Glass Management.
- Describe Cisco Meraki Full Stack Capabilities.
- Describe Cisco Meraki Products and Administration.
- Describe Cisco Meraki MX Security and Software-Defined Wide-Area Network (SD-WAN) Appliance.
- Describe Cisco Meraki MS Switches.
- Describe Cisco Meraki Troubleshooting.
- Describe Cisco Meraki Dashboard Sync and Real-Time Tools.
- Integrate Cisco Meraki Monitoring and Troubleshooting Tools in Existing Systems.
Prerequisite Knowledge Advisory
Although there are no formal prerequisites, before taking this class you should have:
- Basic network fundamentals and building simple LANs.
- Basic IP addressing and subnets.
- Routing and switching fundamentals.
- Basic wireless networking concepts and terminology.
