Class Overview

CompTIA’s Network Plus , also known as Network+, Net+, or N+, certification training is ideal for IT engineers who have at least 1 year of experience in the field.

Network+ focuses on foundational networking tools and technologies used to create secure networks and guarantee the availability of critical business information.

This training validates the skills required to implement enterprise-level wired and wireless network solutions; identify and troubleshoot network performance issues; and harden networks against threats to mitigate security vulnerabilities.

The course takes the student from basic concepts of how networks are designed, logically follows through with security concepts, and then progresses to network management and troubleshooting.

After taking this training, the student should be able to:
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills required to install and configure systems to secure applications, networks, and devices.
- Perform threat analysis and respond with appropriate mitigation techniques.
- Participate in risk mitigation activities.
- Operate with an awareness of applicable policies, laws, and regulations.
- Identify the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Prerequisite Knowledge Advisory

Although there are no formal prerequisites, before taking this class you should have:
- At least 1 year of IT Administration experience.
- Strong advisory: CompTIA A+ certification.
