Class Overview

This official Certified Wireless IoT Design Professional , or CWIDP, certification training class is an important component of CWNP’s portfolio.

The CWIDP professional has the knowledge and skill set required to define, design, validate and assess wireless IoT solutions. They can gather and define requirements in collaboration with the appropriate stakeholders in order to design wireless IoT networks and related infrastructure with appropriate security considerations.

The CWIDP creates design documentation to support the deployment of the required system components and future operations.

The student must have a working knowledge of Wireless, Cellular, and IoT technologies and is ideal for engineers who have at least 3 years of experience in the field.

This class provides the networking professional with a solid foundation of knowledge for advancing within the wireless IoT networking industry.

- identify the process for gathering and defining requirements and constraints for a wireless IoT solution
- describe best practices for designing a solution to meet requirements
- explain how to validate and optimize a wireless IoT solution

Prerequisite Knowledge Advisory

To be successful in this training class, the student should possess:
- an active Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification
- an active Certified Wireless IoT Solutions Administrator (CWISA) certification
- an understanding of Wireless Networking
- and understanding of Cellular Telephony Communication
- familiarity with Internet of Things
