Class Overview

The Advanced Wireless Troubleshooting , or AWT, is a 5-day knowledge training class will teach students how to troubleshoot wireless networks.

The class is taught using commonly available tools. The class is highly focused on experiential learning methodologies to help the student gain practical experience in how to troubleshoot wireless networks in the real world. Students are recommended to bring any tools with them: spectrum analyzers, Ekahau Sidekick, AirMagnet tools, etc.

By the end of this training, the student should be able to:
- describe the factors that can affect a wireless network design
- define the process of verification
- explain the methodology of troubleshooting
- identify the fundamentals of advanced troubleshooting
- describe the reporting process

Prerequisite Knowledge Advisory

While there are no hard-and-fast formal prerequisites to attend this training, we *strongly* recommend that students possess at least 1 year of experience in wireless networking. Additionally, we would recommend that attendees possess one or more of the following formal certifications (or have equivalent experience): CWNP CWNA, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA N+, or Cisco CCNA-Wireless.
